More than 110,000 people are expected to turn out to see the colorful costumes, floats, marching bands, and entertainers walk along the parade route.

2009: Year of the Ox
The Ox is among the most powerful signs in the Chinese zodiac and is associated with prosperity and fortitude. People born in the Year of the Ox are dependable, patient, tireless, strong, and possess an innate ability to achieve great things. Like their animal namesake, they can also be stubborn, eccentric, and easily angered. They speak little but are extremely intelligent. When necessary, they are articulate and eloquent.
