Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day

Ben & Jerry’s, who broke the mold for businesses showing you could make a profit while giving back to the community, is proud to celebrate its 31st annual Free Cone Day, the original community give-back. Why did they do it thirty-one years ago? The two guys, who had surprised themselves by surviving their first year in business, genuinely wanted to just say “thanks.”

Around the globe from 12:00 noon – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21st the socially-minded ice cream maker, with the fun and funky flavors, will be scooping it out for free to share the love just like the company has since 1979. Scoop Shops will proudly introduce the company’s newest values-led flavor, Chocolate Macadamia. The flavor features Fair Trade vanilla, Fair Trade chocolate and sustainably-harvested macadamia nuts.

Hand and Footprint Ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theater

Hugh Jackman will be honored with a hand and footprint ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, on April 21, at 11:00 a.m.

The Tony® and Emmy®-winning actor, who recently hosted the Academy Awards, joins a very select list of Hollywood luminaries whose hand and footprints and signatures have been immortalized in cement in the famed theater’s forecourt.

Twentieth Century Fox is extending a special invitation to Jackman’s legions of fans – as well as to the community of X-Men and Wolverine comics readers and movie enthusiasts – to “witness the origins” of this special event at 10:00 a.m.

The event precedes the May 1 release of Jackman’s new film, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, in which he returns to the role that launched him to superstardom, as the beloved mutant antihero Wolverine. X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, the first chapter in the X-Men saga, unites Wolverine with several other legends of the X-Men universe, in an epic revolution that pits the mutants against powerful forces determined to eliminate them.
